2007 saw a dramatic growth in the membership of our club.  With this growth, a significant increase in the volume of discussions on the RASC list about all manners of astronomy related topics became evident.

With this discussion, came the increased awareness within our membership, both new and old, of the various activities taking place in the astronomy community, as well the skies over Manitoba.  In order to encourage these discussions, without overwhelming the inboxes of email list members, a discussion forum was created, as an experimental venue for indepth discussions on all manner of astronomy related topics.

The forum has developed a sizeable community of users, and is therefore now supported as a member benefit.
