On-Campus Accomodations: The Organizing Committee for the GA has reserved accommodation for 80 persons in the Arthur Mauro residence at the University of Manitoba. Reservations can be made online after March 31; before that date, you can download a reservation form from the University web site (see below) and forward it to the Residence Conference Coordinator along with your payment.
Accommodation in Arthur Mauro features two-bedroom suites (each with a double bed) with shared television, microwave, fridge and bathroom. Suites are air-conditioned and have free Internet connections (but bring an Ethernet cable). The price for a single room is $69 plus taxes, a total of $80.90 per night. If you are travelling with your family, a double-room suite can be booked for $138 per night ($161.80 with taxes).
Online bookings are no longer possible with the University of Manitoba. However, you may still be able to book accommodation by phone or email. Details can be found here.
Less expensive accommodation can be reserved at the Mary Speechly Dormitory Residences for a daily rate of $40 ($46.90 with taxes). Each room has a single double bed, chair and bookshelf, fan, and wardrobe. Internet access (bring an Ethernet cable) is included. Shared male and shared female washrooms are located on each floor.
The GA Committee has not reserved space at Mary Speechly residences, but RASC members can make reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. Off-Campus Accomodations: For those that are a little less keen to lodge in the University of Manitoba's residences, a number of hotels are located near the University of Manitoba campus. A smalls sample of these hotels (in no particular order) is provided below:
