Members Observing Night (MON)

Members Observing Nights are held on the second Saturday of Each Month, following Monthly Meetings. They serve as a regular opportunity for members to get together under the stars, and are hosted by some of our more experienced members.  They serve as an ideal opportunity to learn about observing.

Members are ancouraged to familiarize themselves with the proceedure for use of the GAO facilities and equipment .   Once oriented to the Glenlea Observatory, all members are entitled to  a key to the warm room by paying a $10.00 deposit. The deposit will be remitted once the key is turned in.

Please note that Members Observing Nights are held only if weather permits, and are not held during the Months of June and July when astronomical twighlight is well after 10:00 PM. Be sure to check the Calendar of Events for upcoming dates.
