Join us for a virtual beginners’ session, featuring a presentation on lunar observing, a Q&A period, some suggestions on the current situation, and a prize draw!

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, this session will be held virtually on Zoom. Information will be provided directly to members prior to the event, so keep an eye on the forums and your inbox (meeting info will not be published publicly).

  • Presentation: The Moon – Part II; higher powered observing and features (30 – 40 min)
  • Q&A Period
  • Suggestions and help for completing RASC Explore the Moon/Explore the Universe programs
  • What you can see in the sky currently
  • Astronomy in the time of COVID: suggestions for how to stay active and keep the hobby going during lockdown
  • PRIZE DRAW! Win a brand new set of Oberwerk 11x56LW binoculars, complete with a tripod mount

Beginner session attendees must be new RASC members – If you’ve been a member for less than 2 years, or you’ve recently renewed your membership in the last 5 years, or if you’re a RASC member and still consider yourself a novice and want to learn, feel free to join.
